Rural Valley Lions and Fox’s Pizza Numine announce WSJSHS students of the month

The Rural Valley Lions and Fox's Pizza Numine are pleased to announce the West Shamokin Jr-Sr High School Students of the month of March, April and May.

Local boy cited by Kelly Station Sportsman's Club on behalf of PFSC

Daniel Russick, son of Daniel Russick of Rayburn Township and Amanda Wensel of Ford City, was presented an award from the Kelly Station Sportsman’s Club President Steve Blosnick on behalf of the Pennsylvania Federation of Sportsmen and Conservationists (PFSC). Russick entered the PFSC photo contest for grades four to six at Divine Redeemer School themed “Pennsylvania Pollinators” and took second place in Pennsylvania. His photograph will be published in the PFSC summer publication.

A rainy day doesn't deter record donations

Despite rainy weather, a group of determined students from Armstrong Junior-Senior High School (AJSHS) recently raised more than $5,000 for Orphans of the Storm during the Riverhawk Rally for Rescues community fundraiser, far surpassing their original goal of $1,000. Armstrong Junior High School Chorus performs

The Armstrong Junior High School Chorus (AJHSC) recently presented an evening of music, showcasing the student’s hard work and dedication. The concert featured a variety of selections that highlighted the students’ musical growth, teamwork, and enthusiasm. AJHSC Director Emily Hilles thanked the students, directors, accompanists, families and community members for supporting music education and making the concert a success.
